Pediatric pathology deals with the diagnoses and characterization of neoplastic and non-neoplastic (congenital) diseases from conception through adolescence, and covers the spectrum of disorders developing in utero (including embryology, placentology, and teratology), gestational and perinatal diseases, and all diseases of childhood.
Our Pediatric Pathology service offers second opinion and consultative services. We also provide specialty testing on pediatric specimens for small blue cell tumors, Hirschsprung’s disease, trisomies and sex chromosomal cytogenetic changes, and pediatric leukemias and lymphomas.
