Professor in Pathology and Director of Anatomic and Surgical Pathology Thomas Krausz, MD, MRCPath, has a clinical interest in general surgical pathology/cytopathology, melanocytic lesions, soft tissue tumor pathology, mesothelioma, and gynecological pathology, including breast pathology. He has published more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals and is the co-author of a textbook, Pathology of Melanocytic Disorders, which is now in its second edition. Krausz graduated from Semmelweis University Medical School in Budapest, Hungary. He began his pathology training in Budapest followed by further training at the Hammersmith Hospital/Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London, where he worked for 22 years before coming to Chicago in 2000. He is on the editorial board of several scientific journals and has served with a number of professional societies, including the Chicago Pathology Society, the Cancer Committee of the College of American Pathologists, and the Council of the Royal College of Pathologists, United Kingdom.
