- Head and Neck Pathology
Professor Mark Lingen, DDS, PhD, FRCPath, has an interest in the detection and prevention of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and the role of a novel gene, NOL7, in the suppression of tumor growth. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed publications and 10 book chapters, and has been an invited speaker at dozens of national and international conferences. A diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Lingen is also a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists, International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists, and American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology. He earned both his dental and doctoral degrees from Northwestern University, where he also completed his residency and a fellowship in oral and maxillofacial pathology.
