An academic clinical chemist for nearly 30 years, KT Jerry Yeo, PhD, holds the positions of Professor in Pathology and medical director of the Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Pharmacogenomics, and Translational Mass Spectrometry Laboratories. Yeo’s research interests include cardiac biomarkers, clinical pharmacogenetics, and translational mass spectrometry applications. His recent work focuses on efforts to foster the adoption of clinical pharmacogenetic testing for personalized medicine. Yeo currently holds leadership positions with a number of associations, including the American Association for Clinical Chemistry, the Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists, and the Commission of Accreditation for Clinical Chemistry. He has served on the editorial boards of Clinica Chimica Acta and Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, and is a member of the senior editorial board for Discoveries Journals. He has published more than 100 original articles, book chapters, and abstracts, and is the co-editor of the textbook Pharmacogenomic Testing in Current Clinical Practice: Implementation in the Clinical Laboratory.
