John Hart, MD, Professor in Pathology and director of the gastrointestinal pathology fellowship, focuses his research on colonic and hepatic carcinogenesis. He has authored or co-authored nearly 180 peer-reviewed articles and 15 books, book chapters, and reviews, and has been a visiting professor or invited lecturer at more than 100 conferences or universities. He received his BA from the Central University of Iowa and his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowships in gastrointestinal pathology and clinical oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles.
