Geoffrey Wool, MD, PhD, serves as Assistant Professor in Pathology, assistant medical director of the Blood Bank, and associate medical director of the Coagulation Laboratory. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his medical and doctoral degrees from the University of Chicago, from which he graduated with honors. He completed his residency in clinical pathology and fellowship in hematopathology at the University of California, San Francisco. He then returned to the University of Chicago Medicine and completed a fellowship in transfusion medicine. He has authored or co-authored 11 peer-reviewed papers or reviews.
